NINTENDO cheap ESO gold VS. ITSELF: Nintendo has a stable of talented game designers with impressive resumes, but they've been relegated to uninspired projects for the Wii U. The team behind the stellar "Super Mario Galaxy" games is producing the multiplayer "Super Mario 3D World," which plays an awful lot like last year's "New Super Mario Bros. U." Retro Studios, architect of last decade's spectacular "Metroid" reboot, is bogged down with another "Donkey Kong Country" game. While Nintendo's character roster is second to none, the company desperately needs an influx of fresh ideas. Winner: Nobody.
March will be a very interesting time. While there will likely be a trickle of fresh consoles turning up in stores in January and February, they will probably be snapped up quickly, leaving both machines in very short supply. I suspect it will be around March when sales will slow enough that we will actually see both consoles sitting on store shelves, ready to be bought by anyone who wants them, not just those who paid a deposit six months earlier.
Best Music Festival in the area has to go to Trampled by Turtle's Festival Palomino (09/19). Technically, we only covered one Music Festival this month, but of all the festivals we went to this year, Festival Palomino is one of our favorites. Interactive Entertainment, totaling more than 110 titles. PS4 has earned great support from a wide variety of game publishers, including many indie developers. Since February 2013, the number of developers joining has increased from 126 to 505.
